The 4th Career Day Neuroscience is going to take place on the
29th of March 2018
at the University of Oldenburg.
Students have the opportunity to present a poster about their ongoing research in the field of Neuroscience throughout the morning. Everyone who is interested (students, teachers and invited speakers) is very welcome to visit the poster symposium and support the young presenters. In the afternoon four external speakers will give an insight into various career fields in the industry (science, research & development, science management and much more) building on an academic education in the field of Neuroscience.
The closing lecture will be given by a speaker who is currently working in academia and will give all attending students an idea how to best take up an academic career.
The career day will also give the opportunity to discuss individual questions in smaller groups after each talk.
This event is a great opportunity for students to get an idea about possible academic and non-academic career perspectives at first hand.

with the following information until the 20.03.2018:
You can sent us your poster as a .pdf file beforehand and we will take care of the printing.
The expenses for printing will be covered by the University of Oldenburg.
Here you will have opportunities to witness and weigh all the diverse options you have at your disposal as a young scientist. Be it academia or industry it is never an easy choice and but with some guidance it could be simplified.
With talks from scientists in academia and scientists who chose the path to industry or a combination of the two, we hope to give you a taste of what is out there.
It is not only a great testing field but also a lucrative opportunity to establish networks. The opportunity to discuss individual questions in smaller groups after a talk will be given for all speakers.
To sign up for a discussion with a specific speaker please write a short e-mail with your preferred speaker to: email@example.com
